I just love pansies.  I always have, always will.  Years ago I owned a pressed and dried flower business -- I planted, picked, pressed/dried flowers and made them into pieces of art.  Pansies were among my favorite flowers to use.  Purple pansies rock!

 I believe that some sunsets have charisma -- multiple layers of color, movement, and so on.  This piece of artwork took on a life of it's own, is a bit textured, lots of hues, and of course over my beloved Rocky Mountains.  What a hoot!

"Sunny Day Red Mountain" by Karla Nolan, framed mixed media collage, s&h incl. N. America

This is an older piece. The skies are silk I hand painted, the mountains are imported papers, and there are some actual dried flowers in the piece. Very experimental! Very fun! The frame is a soft pewter-silver silver with relief work on the surrounding edges and the actual collage is matted in soft blue suede. In Colorado there is an actual mountain named "Red Mountain" in the southwestern part of the state. The skies here are often very blue. I have always adored this piece.

Due to the economic downturn, art sales are not what I've hoped. Therefore, I'm announcing on my blogs that all of the artworks shown on my website are discounted 25% through December 15th, 2008. I plan to list this same announcement daily on my web blogs. Shipping prices will need to be determined per order, however. Each piece of art weighs a different amount. All of my paintings on glass are sold framed, as shown. Pastels (all originals) and oils (again, all originals) are sold unframed and sent carefully packaged. No prints can be discounted, unfortunately, but may still be purchased at Fine Print Collection (.com) if you are interested. Thank you for your interest.
