"Darkness Approaches" by Karla Nolan, palette knife oil painting

As the sun fades away and the day ends, the darkness approaches. You must know of my fascination with sunsets. Living in the state of Colorado, along the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the Continental Divide, I see my more than fair share of these events -- twilight, dusk, sunset, sundown.

This palette knife oil painting on 3/4" gallery wrapped canvas will be in the upcoming Brigham Galleries on-line art auction. Make sure to go to (the auction site may not be up yet, please be patient) and see it! I am honored to be part of the event, with four paintings, two on glass and two in oil, available for the first auction! Hooray!
