"Five Little Poppies Sitting In A Row" by Karla Nolan, framed painting on glass

ALERT: You are about to view art of a different nature. These are paintings on glass -- that is, painted directly onto glass with specially formulated glass paints. They are always framed for the protection of the glass. The paints often are transparent and sometimes opaque, giving a stained glass appearance under good light. They, like all fine art, should not be hung in direct sunlight. The photographs do not do them justice -- my colors are very vibrant. Close ups are available, just e-mail me for information (see below). In most instances, click on the actual image for an even larger image to view -- you'll see lots of different items such as marbelization, transparent or opaque parts of the work -- try it and see! Commissions are accepted.

It is clear to me that I have been reading to my little granddaughter maybe a tad too much. She has a book about five puppies and when it came to naming this small piece, I simply couldn't resist mimicking the book! Five little poppies, sitting in a row....Oh well, why not?????

"Five Little Poppies Sitting In A Row", framed 5"x7" (measured edge to edge glass) painting on glass, $125 includes s&h in N. America, Paypal preferred, click button below or write for more info at KarlaNolan@gmail.com. Thank you for looking at my art....

hi Karla, This is a beautiful piece, presented in a creative way. When once in my homeland (the U.K.), I saw a botanical art exhibition which included one painting which used a similar concept. I'll try and find the catalog and e-mail you the reference. Anyways, I have done something similar - with digitally made prints on transparent film. There's a lot to be gained from "non-standard" framing and display.
