"Mountain Moonlight Triptych" by Karla Nolan, painting on glass

My apologies for no blogs this past week -- we were in Wyoming and Montana, drove about 2400 miles in ten days. Very beautiful but tiring!

This painting on glass is for the Richard Schmid Art Auction to benefit the Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department and is available at the website for bidding ( in the Silent Auction pages. This is an extremely worthy cause, as you can imagine, as Rist Canyon is in the Rocky Mountains, covers a large area and the fire danger in this part of the country tends to get high. The full painting is on the left and the center panel of the glass is to the right.

The painting measures 10"x22" and is framed in a black frame with the slightest hint of silver within it. It was a tough one, this triptych, very, very time consuming and frustrating. I'm delighted with the end result.

: I was recently accepted by Dobbin Gallery, 175 Church Street, Charleston, South Carolina, for representation in their art gallery with paintings on glass, pastels, oils and table jewelry. Please visit their gallery when in town! It's a lovely place.

AND EVEN MORE NEWS!!! I was just accepted by Wild Hands Art Gallery on Pearl Street in Jackson, Wyoming, with my paintings on glass! Yaay!

AND STILL MORE....I am proud to announce that Common Ground Western Art in Red Lodge, Montana, is now representing me, also.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Make sure you take a moment and visit my newest blogspot: This site has miniature sculptures consisting of seashells, semi-precious stones, pearls, and Swarovski crystals. Very fun!!!!!!!!!!!! Great bling, schmaltz, sparkle for your tables!!!
