Little Red Coquelicot, painting on glass

If you have been following any of my art blogs at all, you know my fondness for poppies (coquelicot in French, papaveri in Italian). They are such darling flowers, very lively and happy looking. If you haven't been following the blogs and continue to do so, you had better get used to seeing these babies! They are among my favorite floral paintings to produce.

These particular poppies are painted directly onto glass, then reversed. So you have a nice, smooth appearance on the outside of the glass and a bit of a hint of the stained glass look, also. As is usual with this technique of painting, I've used a variety of specially formulated paints applied directly onto the glass in a combination of both transparent and opaque paints. (You can see a close up of it also on my website, www.KarlaNolan.com).

"Little Red Coquelicot", sold framed as shown for protection and security of the glass for $75 + $14.95 s&h, Paypal preferred, write KarlaNolan@gmail.com for more information
