Inspired by J.M.W. Turner, Georgia O'Keefe, Massimo Cruciani, Edgar Degas and many others, I am pleased to be an artist painting in oils (palette knife and brush), soft pastels, paintings on glass and now watercolors. My landscapes are driven by my travel memories. My flowers are inspired by the actual thing -- I once had a pressed and dried flower business. And my skies -- my hero is Turner. What more can I say? My motto: "Life is short, use color!" I hope you enjoy my show.

Rouge, palette knife oil painting
Red, red, red! Why not get a bit dramatic in a sunset, call it "Rouge", and make it all shades of red? I've seen very dramatic sunsets over the years and had fun using palette knives to put this one together on canvas. I figure, let's not get too literal, make it just like the sky, add some drama to it! Also, it's heavy with texture!
"Rouge", 5"x7" palette knife oil painting on canvas, sold unframed for $75 + $14.95 s&h USPS priority mail, Paypal preferred, write KarlaNolan@gmail.com

Karla: Beautiful color and texture. Knife painting can be so satisfying.
